RAD Ballet

When learning ballet is mentioned in Singapore, it is usually about the RAD program. This is not surprising as RAD, headquartered in London is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations. Founded in 1920 as the Association of Teachers of Operatic Dancing, and was granted a Royal Charter in 1935.

RAD offers one of the most influential and dominant dance training syllabi worldwide. RAD syllabi is well published with extensive materials on YouTube. The Syllabi is particularly suitable for young children as they move through Primary levels and then into eight Graded and six Vocational Graded levels.

At Dance Theatre Arts, Pre-school Children may be nurtured for ballet from as young as 3 years old through our  Moving Melody Creative Movement Program.

Older Students who develop a great love for Ballet after joining the Regular RAD classes.  and are willing to make greater commitments, may join our Classical Program.

The Classical Program offers a greater fusion between RAD and other Instruction Systems in order to achieve a higher level of excellence in Ballet and Performance.

Dance Theatre Arts(DTA)has RAD certified teachers and offers classes for the full range of RAD Grades. We also have teachers who are able to impart to students the best of other dance methods including the Vaganova Ballet system, Cecchetti method, Tap Dance, Jazz and performance Arts.

Our Advantage

While we are focused on bringing students successfully through the RAD grading like other ballet schools, we also strive, within the limited time the student spends with us, to introduce them to critical elements of other Dance and Performance Art
